HER
Home Efficiency Rebates Program
The Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) Program assists Georgia residents in enhancing their home's energy efficiency through comprehensive upgrades. By implementing whole-home energy improvements, participants can reduce energy consumption, lower utility bills, and increase overall comfort.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the HER Program:
-
Income Requirement: Your household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for your county.
-
Energy Savings Requirement: Planned improvements should aim for a minimum of 20% reduction in energy usage.
Incentives are based on household income relative to your county's AMI and the total expected energy savings from the upgrades.
Add $10,760 for each additional household member for 80% of AMI and $15,420 for 150% of AMI.
Note: Specific income thresholds vary by county. Please refer to the HUD Income Limits Data for detailed information.
